Half Way...Its all Downhill from here
I am into P90x 6 weeks. Which by multiplying 6 times 7 we find that its 42 days. This means in 3 days I will officially be halfway done with the 90-day workout regiment set up by the P90x system.
So far it has gone really well in my opinion. There have been days that I have loved doing the workout and there have been days when I just didn’t really want to do the workout. There have been periods of time when I have done the workouts religiously and there have been periods when I have missed a couple of days. All in all I feel that I am doing pretty well for my first time attempting P90x.
Since I am halfway done I have decided that I am going to update you on my before pictures. In three days when I am officially half way I will take more pictures and they will be included in my next post.
So I have definitely seen a difference from the first set of workouts (the first three weeks) and the new set of workouts that I am on. The first thing that I noticed is that they pair different muscles together. Instead of working my chest and back together I am now working my back and biceps together. Not only do they have you work different muscle groups together but they also have you doing the workouts differently. While doing the first part of the workouts they would have you do two sets of 12 different exercises. Now they have me doing one set of 24 different exercises. This I feel like really helps to keep your muscles guessing and by switching little things within the exercises helps to work every inch of that muscle.
I’m happy with the results that I have seen so far and am stoked to be able to share some of those results through pictures in my next blog post.

Rest Week Has Come and Gone
Week four has come and gone in my p90 xperience. In the p90 world week 4 is known as rest week. You do three weeks in a row of the same exercise on the same day of the week for 3 weeks and then on week 4 you have what is called a rest week. This week is meant to give your muscles a break. After the 4th week you go back into training your muscles.Don't let the name fool you though. Although the name implies that you rest, you do no such thing. Instead of working on your muscles during this week you give them a break while you continue to do things such as Yoga, Cardio, and working out your core muscles. Its a good thing they make this your week 4 workout because if i started with this week of workouts I think I would have quite on the spot.
Now I stated in my rules that I wasn't going to skip days. Well I am here to tell you that I have skipped a few days. Last week I had alot of school work that needed to get done so I missed a couple of days while studying or writing papers. This is no excuse though I need to stick to my commitments. On a brighter note, since Taco Bell stopped doing their crunchwrap supreme specials my diet has gotten a little better. I feel like my muscles are getting more defined as well. The 30 day mark is coming up in P90X so you will get to see some more pictures soon. Stay tuned...

1 Week Down 12 More to Go
So one week has passed and I have been pretty committed to the workouts so far. My entire body was sore throughout this week and I keep telling myself it can only get better from here. After the first legs workout i couldn't even sit down comfortable. That's right, my butt was so sore I couldn't even sit down to relax without it hurting. Hopefully it will be worth it when I am all done!
Also this week was not a good week for my diet. I said that I was going to eat healthier, but this week Taco Bell announced that they were selling crunchwrap supremes for 88 cents. So my diet this week consisted of crunchwrap supremes basically. I promise I will do better this week with my diet ( let's face it, I can't do much worse).

Welcome!
Welcome to my blog! As we go throughout this semester this blog will follow me as I go throughout out the P90X workouts. What is P90X one might ask. P90X is a set of home fitness DVDs that are supposed to work great. One guy I work with did it and he can't say enough good things about it!
You might ask why someone as ridiculously good-looking as me is doing this workout. Well the fact of the matter is that I am not really trying to lose any weight by doing this workout. I am just trying to get into better shape and not be so lazy! I’m going to track my progress on this blog so that there will be no cheating. I will also post pictures so that we can see the changes over the semester. Together we will see if these DVDs really work.
All right, there needs to be some rules that I am going to follow as I go throughout this program.
#1 No Skipping- I can't skip days and pretend that I didn't. If I skip a day I have to post it on the blog for the ridicule of everyone
#2 No diet, just eat healthier- P90X comes with a nutrition guide as well, but since I’m not trying to lose any weight I am not going to follow that guide I am just going to trying to eat less junk food.
#3 Nothing on the side- I promise that what happens to my body over the course of this workout will not be from outside sources. I am not going to say I am doing P90X when really I am going to the gym. Besides occasionally playing football with friends P90X will be the exercise I am doing.
So we've gone over ground rules and I am excited to get started. I will start on Monday and "before" pictures should be up later this weekend. Wish me luck!
